What is this?

RateMySBS is a student-built platform for Stony Brook School students to anonymously rate their teachers and classes. Our goal is to give students a voice — honest, unfiltered feedback that helps everyone make better decisions about their education.

How does it work?

  • Browse teachers and classes on the home page
  • Click on any teacher or class to see detailed reviews
  • Submit your own review — rate on Expertise, Clarity, Fairness, and Approachability (teachers) or Difficulty, Time Demand, Leniency, and Worth It (classes)
  • Add an optional written comment
  • Each person gets one review per teacher, or per class-teacher section for multi-teacher classes

Is it really anonymous?

Yes. We do not collect your name, email, student ID, or any identifying information. We use a device fingerprint solely to enforce the one-vote-per-person rule — this fingerprint cannot be used to identify you personally.
